Food for body and soul
At the Orchard House Café, we offer great coffee brewed one cup at a time and handmade espresso drinks. Our food is simple, wholesome and very satisfying. It comes from some of New York’s best suppliers: E.A.T. (Zabar’s), Bimmy’s Quiche & Tell, Eli’s and Corner Bakery, to name a few. In addition we offer wines and beers at reasonable prices.
We also host a Special Events Series: Live Music, films presented by their directors, theater, story telling, environmental and travel experts, and more.
Our heritage & inspiration
In the western Berkshire Mountains, in upstate New York is the original Orchard House, whose central structure is almost 200 years old. At one time, an apple orchard, whose remains can still be found, grew behind the house. And down a wooded path leads to a wonderful mountain lake surrounded by rolling hills.
Four generations of our family have gathered together there several times every year. One of our greatest pleasures is assembling around the big dining table for great food, good coffee and conversation.
Catering
We platter our sandwiches, salads and pastry for catered events. Fresh brewed coffee can be delivered in thermal urns. Cold and bottled beverages available.
Private parties
The café can be reserved for private events.
