Saturday, July 25, Live Music: Slight Imperfection, 8 PM -10 PM. SLIGHT IMPERFECTION is Odarka Stockert and Redentor Jimenez (a.k.a. Red Reyne), a singer/ song-writing duo blending musical genre of traditional Celtic, folk, rock and roll and all in between. Odarka is on vocals, Celtic-harp and percussion with Red on guitar and vocals. Songs are carefully arranged, crafted of life experiences and mythic tales, with plenty of poetic license. The melodies can be traced back to grass roots American folk with Celtic flavor, 50s innocence, 60s pop and classic rock and roll.
Saturday, July 18, Live Music from the Sixties and Seventies, 8 PM -10 PM. New Jersey acoustic duo, Jeff & Karen are crossing the Hudson to bring us their special blend of retro music, mixed with current hits and original material from their CD, Jersey Fresh. They’ll be playing music from the fabulous fifties, the psychedelic sixties, and sensational seventies, including hits from The Monkees, Sonny & Cher, Jefferson Airplane, Bon Jovi and Janis Joplin. Saturday, July 11, Sonas Celtic Music, 8 PM -10 PM. We’re delighted to welcome back Sonas to Orchard House Café for another evening of upbeat, foot-stomping reels and jigs. The group holds true to the Cape Breton style, playing traditional Irish/Scottish tunes, but are still growing, expanding and exploring all Celtic music.
